Sweepstakes and contests are an easy way to win money, and if anyone is going to win, it may as well be you! If you're new to sweepstakes, read this guide to get started.
Don’t enter more than once
Entering a one–time entry contest more than once is not a good idea. If it happens, don't expect to win the prize, because you've just disqualified yourself.
Don’t pay
Never enter a contest that requires payment. You should never pay to enter sweepstakes or to collect your prize. Also, sweepstakes that require proof of purchase are required by law to include a non-purchase option.
Never give up!
To win at sweepstakes on a daily basis, you'll need persistence and perseverance. Winning appears to come in spurts, with several periods where you don't win something. If you keep entering on a regular basis, you can finally start winning again.
Regularly check your inbox and mail
SBefore confirming your winning status, contest organizers may contact you by email and request some additional details. They may even mail you an affidavit which generally needs to be signed and notarized. If you do not respond to these in a timely manner, you will lose your reward and another winner will be chosen. When responding to emails, double-check if the email is related to the sweepstakes you joined, and never submit credit card details or other sensitive data.
Don't ever enter for the sake of entering
Entering a contest for a prize you don't want is a bad idea. Instead, enter a contest if the prize is something you can use or gift to someone else. If it doesn't meet those requirements, skip it, and leave it for the ones who really want to win it. You can avoid burnout if you choose your sweepstakes carefully.
